Of the fragrance notes listed in the product description, the black pepper and ginger are the most predominant, but this also has a fresh, not too heavy woodiness about it (sort of an evergreen and cyprus smell).
This is an entirely masculine fragrance, and it doesn't smell a bit perfumey or heavy like most men's fragrances do. That being said, I actually like to wear this myself from time to time, even though I'm female. For some reason just a whiff of this stuff makes me think of doing the deed! I think it makes a nice unisex fragrance even though it's marketed just toward men. Buy for yourself or your guy, you'll both love it!
